Ms. Yakish, a Rangeview chemistry and biology teacher, was awarded the 2017 – 2018 Female Teacher of the Year. “Overall, I try to teach scientific concepts, but I also try to have a good time, laugh and joke,” said Yakish on how she won the award. (Sam Newman)

 

Mr. Laguana, a Rangeview concert teacher, won the 2017 – 2018 Male Teacher of the Year. “I am honored, but also humbled by it, as well. There are so many deserving teachers and I appreciate everything everyone does…. I just wish I could give it to everybody,” Laguana said. (Kenya Lee)
