Boys Basketball
The Rangeview boys basketball team won all three of their games last week against Prairie View, Northglenn, Rampart, and Regis Jesuit; the boys are 5-0 for this season. They beat Prairie View at home on December 4th with a score of 73-43. They beat Northglenn at home on December 7th with a score of 78-29. They also beat Rampart on the road on December 8th with a score of 86-35. The Raiders took on Regis Jesuit High School last night and won with a score of 79-56. The Raiders play Grandview tomorrow at 7:00pm at Grandview.
Girls Basketball
The Rangeview girls basketball team currently have a 4-1 overall record. The ladies started the season with a loss against Pueblo South; however, the Lady Raiders were able to turn their season around and win their last 3 away games against Grand Junction Central (61-33), Palmer (54-49), and Prairie View (73-47). The team had an away game yesterday at Brighton High School against Brighton which ended with a score of 40-36. Captain Taelor Jackson says,“I am very confident in the season. I’m confident that my girls will come together and we will do what we got to do.” The team has their first home game versus Eaglecrest tomorrow December 13 at 7pm.
Poms & Cheer
Varsity Poms and Cheer recently went to State over the weekend at the Denver Coliseum. Friday, December 7, Cheer competed and placed 35th, which wasn’t their best performance, but the team says they still have hope for improvement this season. Varsity Poms performed Saturday, December 8, as well, and placed 16th at State.
Girls Swimming
The Rangeview girls swim team currently has a 2-1 overall record. The team had their first meet on November 29, at home against Brighton High School which they won with a final score of 101-85. The ladies had an away meet yesterday at Eaglecrest High School against Eaglecrest which ended with score of 103-83. The girls swimming team will have a meet tomorrow December 13, Gateway/Aurora Central combined team vs Rangeview at Gateway at 4:30.
Wrestling
The Rangeview wrestlers had a successful Triangular on December 5th, beating Gateway 62-4. After a tie and going to the 8th tie-break, the boys beating Hinkley 43-42. Making the teams overall record 2-0.
