Everyone’s favorite fearless hero is back! Puss In Boots: The Last Wish was released December 21, 2022. This is the first time Puss has had his own movie since 2011 giving older generations a great sense of childhood nostalgia while dragging younger siblings to experience the adventurous tales of Puss In Boots for the very first time. With 96% of audiences enjoying this movie let’s take a dive into what it’s all about.
Although most say you only live once this is the complete opposite for Puss, or is it? During one of Pusses’ mighty adventures he finds out he’s ran through eight of his nine lives. After finding out this shocking news, Puss runs into a not so friendly wolf making our fearless hero feel fear for the very first time. With a new personal fear of dying Puss sets out to find the Legendary last wish to regain his nine lives. On this adventure Puss reconnects with his past romance, Kitty soft paws and makes a new friend, Perrito. With this new team Puss and his friends race to find the star against Big Jack Horner, and Goldilocks and the three bears while simultaneously running from Pusses alleged bounty hunter. Will Puss find the last wish and get his nine lives back or will this be his last adventure?
Overall, this movie has to be my favorite out of all of 2022, it’s a great way to enter 2023 with this action packed animation that leaves you on the edge of your seat. Puss in Boots: The Last Wish did a great job introducing real life issues like abandonment, anxiety, and the importance of life. Many times we can brush off animated movies because of the childlike influences, but this is a definite must for children, teens, and adults to experience life lessons, action, and everyone’s favorite silly adult jokes.
