Bump! Set! Spike! Just like that, the Rangeview volleyball team is back in business and smashing the courts with more energy than ever. Many have said that this volleyball season is the one to watch and believe sparks are going to fly.
As the new season rolls in with some new faces as well as some old ones, the volleyball team is working to grow as one.
“I am willing to work my hardest and I’m ready to push my limits,” junior Cheyanne Boe said. “I really love the team atmosphere that is already set up.”
Although the lady Raiders have succumbed to one loss against Thunderridge thus far in the season, they have not given up.

Sophomore Sierra Hunt gets nostalgic about the loss and voices, “[I’m] just taking my coaches criticism
and applying it to whatever I need work on.”
For some of the girls, improving is a very big focus for this year.
Hunt added, “I really want to improve my skill… I want to stay focused and dedicated all season long.”
For seniors Melony Erly, Kylee Flynn, Ryan Nelson, Justina Koukeokingthale, and Trinity Stevenson, this is the last year they can show off their grit and dedication through the volleyball program.
Even though it’s their last year, it doesn’t seem to be stopping any one of them.
Flynn stated, “I’m just going to practice everyday and just staying focused.”
She is looking forward to “playing as a team and growing as one.” With many more games to look forward, the Rangeview volleyball team is going on it’s way to be better as a team.
The girls volleyball team started it’s season on the Thunderridge courts, but took its first lost on the August 24th. Then, on Wednesday, August 30th the team took its first win against the 10th ranked volleyball team in the state, Fairview. The score was 3-1, Rangeview winning the first, second, and last set.
