For the 2023-2024 Season, the Boys and Girls Basketball teams made it to playoffs, but ultimately fell to top seeded teams.
The Boys were the 30th seed pitting them against third seed Chaparral in the first round losing a close contest 48-45. The Raiders fell behind by 10 points in the fourth quarter, but eventually cut the Wolverine lead to 46-45 in the game’s final minute before they couldn’t score on the game’s final possessions.
Returning next season will be Archie Weatherspoon, with his team leading 11.5 points per game. Also returning will be two year starters Kenny Black-Knox who led the team in rebounding, steals, and blocks along with Royce Edwards, the teams assists leader.
While the Girls fought their way into the 31st seed putting them in round one against the second seed Cherry Creek, dropping a rough one 61-29.
Senior D’ajha Horton’s season was tremendous, leading the team in points, rebounds, and blocks for the season. Freshman Devyn Davenport was a bright spot who stepped up with 1.8 assists per game and 1.6 steals per game leading the lady Raiders this season.
