Feature Photo By: Izzy Honey – Senior Bryan Fierro wrestles in the preliminary round of the CHSAA State Wrestling Championships. This weekend, Fierro represented Rangeview along with senior Matthew Shriver and sophomore Spencer Ohu. While Fierro won his first match coming back from a 9-point difference in score, he lost in the 2nd round of consolation matches, eliminating him from the tournament. Shriver and Ohu were also eliminated in the first round of consolation matches. Though this tournament marked the end of Fierro’s high school career, he still expressed his excitement in having the opportunity, saying, “Getting to compete at a high level while watching others compete around you creates an enjoyable experience.” To see the official results of the state tournament, click here.
