Rangeview will be glad to welcome High School Nation to our school on Friday, April 6th, following a period of uncertainty as to whether or not they would return. However, on Tuesday, High School Nation contacted the APS communications office. They requested that local media be invited to the event, confirming that they would, in fact, be returning to Rangeview.

Some Raiders may remember the veritable fiasco revolving around High School Nation two years ago, when Drake Bell was turned away from Rangeview due to a lack of notice and security. Many students were upset, and there was a period of anger at administration, at Drake Bell, and at High School Nation. This year, the aim is to make everything run as smoothly as possible.

The Plain White T’s, who sang Hey There Delilah, will be the main performers at this year’s High School Nation. Many Rangeview students are excited to see the Plain White T’s perform.

“I’m pretty excited because I know [the Plain White T’s] sang Hey There Delilah, and it’s a pretty good song,” said sophomore Allison Powell.

Although, not all students are as excited for the performance as Powell is. In fact, some don’t intend to attend the event at all.

Junior Caden Schneider said, “I wouldn’t want to go to High School Nation because… it’s lame.”

Regardless of the attitudes towards the event, we can expect to see a relatively large turnout for the Plain White T’s, and we can only hope that it will run as smoothly as it’s stacking up to.
