Feature photo by: Lesley-Ann Sosa Gonzalez- Gem Lake is one of the many trails located in the Rocky Mountains. This trail is known to be used for hiking, camping, and nature trips.
Located within the Rocky Mountains and nearby regions, some of Colorado’s most beautiful scenery can be found. Throughout my life, I have always been an adventurous girl and have visited several places around the state. Here, I share my journeys of where I have been in Colorado.
Bear Lake:
Address: Rocky Mountain National Park, CO
I took this picture in the beginning of January 2018. As you can see, the lake was completely frozen to the point where you could walk on it. The snow was beginning to melt at the time.
Evergreen Lake:
Address: Evergreen, CO
I took this photo on March 5, 2018. No one was really at this lake when I arrived. The lake was absolutely beautiful. I was truly amazed when I captured this shot of the lake and the little house next to it.
Fish Creek Falls:
Address: 34165 Fish Creek Falls Rd, Steamboat Springs, CO 80487
June 20, 2017 I was able to capture this remarkable waterfall. It was not much of a hike that I had to go on, but either way it was a beautiful sight seeing this. If you’re looking for a short walk to get to this type of view, then I recommend this waterfall.
Gem Lake Trail:
Address: Gem Lake Ct, Colorado Springs, CO 80924
I would say this place is one of my favorite hikes I have ever been on. I took these photos on June 29th. I was super lucky to catch these on time, since it later began to rain. I wasn’t able to continue hiking, but there are several trails and spots you can find at this location.
Paint Mines Interpretive Park:
Address: 29950 Paint Mine Rd, Calhan, CO 80808
I took this photo on March 23, 2018. On this day the weather was nice, but incredibly windy. You could hear the wind whistle as it went in between the crevasses. This place has a very breathtaking view from every angle.
Rifle Falls State Park:
Address: 5775 Highway 325, Rifle, CO 81650
July 11, 2017 this photo was taken, which shows three waterfalls going into the stream. This place is not as popular as several others I have been to, but it’s definitely a nice place to visit for the summer.
Royal Arch Trail:
Address: Royal Arch Way, Broomfield, CO 80020
I took this photo June 15th. If you are looking for a hike that’s challenging, this could be the place to go to. This was a hike I hated, yet in the end it was worth it all. I was able to get some cool pictures along the way, but this photo is the one I wanted to get the most.
