As the month of April comes to an end, there are a multitude of movies and songs that have already been released, or will be released in the months to come.


The original Avengers movie earned at least $1,000,000,000 worldwide. Now,  Marvel is planning on releasing Avengers: Infinity War on April 27th. The movie is based on several superheroes such as Iron Man, played by Robert Downey Jr, and Josh Brolin who plays the villain Thanos.

Infinity War is directed by Anthony and Joe Russo. Both have directed other Marvel movies such as Civil War and the Winter Soldier. The plot of this movie revolves around the Avengers and a number of other superheroes as they team up when a threat arrives at Earth. Infinity War is the conglomerate of past Marvel movies that have led up to this movie.

Junior Bolu Folarin said, “I know Infinity War is going to be amazing. Although I’m catching up on some Marvel movies right now, I can’t wait for Infinity War to come out and watch it.”

Deadpool 2 is the second installment of the Deadpool series and is directed by David Leitch, who has directed movies such as John Wick and V for Vendetta.

Deadpool 2 revolves around Deadpool as he forms a team of mutants known as the X-Force to defeat Cable, a time-traveling super soldier, and defend a young mutant.

Senior Rayvon Fisher said, “I’m going to see Deadpool 2 opening day and I know I’m going to have a great time. The first Deadpool was a great movie and Deadpool is just a fun and charismatic character.”


The Weeknd is an Ethiopian songwriter and R&B artist who recently dropped My Dear Melancholy. The EP focuses on his past relationships with Bella Hadid and Selena Gomez with a more gloomy tone than his previous works.

Senior Noah Sung said, “It’s well written and it’s very sad. He poured his soul. I feel like his relationship with Selena impacted him.”

Cardi B is an American Rapper who recently released Invasion of Privacy. She has also released a number of songs before Invasion of Privacy such as Bodak Yellow and Bartier Cardi.

Junior Beimnet Mulugeta said, “I love Cardi B’s new album because I felt it was a good album to listen to. The artists that are also featured on her album are also really good.”
