Caption – Last Thursday, Rangeview was hosting the Every 15 Minutes project with Aurora Police Department and many other sponsors. This project includes the simulation of a car accident caused by a drunk driver in front of the school. It was made to increase awareness of the danger of driving under the influence and to lessen car accidents because of careless drivers or driving under influences. This project was divided into smaller parts: Planning, Pre-crash and post-crash shooting, crash day, a night at a hotel, and a session lead by officers. Last Thursday was the crash day, which continued by all of the students participant going to Aurora Municipal Courthouse to learn more about sentencing for the drunk driver. The assembly was supposed to be on Friday, April 27th, but it got canceled since students didn’t have school that day. Instead of an assembly, the speech from guests will be recorded and will be shown with the movie “Every 15 Minutes in all third period classroom on Friday, May 4th.
