As a new school year begins at Rangeview, students have received more privileges, but the Rangeview administration is planning to enforce new rules, one of those rules concerning parking permits.
As seen on KVUE, any vehicle found without a permit will be towed.
Senior Lyndsey Coonce is one of few students who has had a permit for three years, and, in those three years, administration has never threatened to tow vehicles for not having a permit.
When asked how she feels about this, Coonce said, “It shouldn’t matter to the people who have a parking pass, but I think the administration should give out tickets or warnings before they tow any vehicles.”
Dean Terry Anderson said, “Many seniors did not have permits because the passes arrived after senior check-in day.” He added that the ad on KVUE “gave a sense of urgency to students.”
Anderson intends to keep his word that, “any vehicle without a permit will be ticketed and towed away.”
