The new Senior Lounge is incredible, not just for the new Ping Pong Table or the Foosball Table, but for actually having comfortable chairs to sit in. I am now able to sit while doing homework without moving around every five minutes to just get comfortable again.
Moriggen Allen, being the main planner for the Senior Lounge, could not have put it better by saying, “I want it to feel like home for all the seniors.” The class of 2018 must be eager to enter the Senior Lounge to finally play the Ping Pong Table since they have to wait the longest. I have enjoyed my time playing Ping Pong as well as the rest of my fellow graduates. The competition cooks up pretty fast when you are playing a game with your friends, and most important, we are all having fun. This is what our Principle, Ronald Fay, intended to do.
He wanted to add an element of fun to Rangeview so it is not just students working and taking a break once in a while during school hours. He wants all the seniors to be able to enjoy themselves regardless of how they are doing in school.
He must really care and think about us students here at Rangeview, to spend money for us to have fun in school. Having spent this money, we must take care of everything the school has given us. It would break my heart if someone were to break my favorite chair where I do my homework, like it would disappoint me, it would also disappoint Mr. Fay for having to spend money for seniors to have an area to relax, and turning out where we are reckless not taking care of the equipment he gave us.
Besides the fact of having some new awesome chairs and games to play with, I would like to say thank you to our Principle, Mr. Fay for thinking about the students and understanding the struggle of having to be in school for 7 hours straight with almost nothing to enjoy ourselves with. I should not be the only one that is thankful for the Senior Lounge; we should show Mr. Fay our gratitude. Be sure to say thanks if you manage to see him in the halls, maybe even show our appreciation by a game of Ping Pong; we can join him along with the rest of the staff to play.
