After an eventful year of reporting, writing, and providing the Rangeview community with a plethora of exciting and important news articles the Raider Review and some of its reporters have been acknowledged by the Colorado High School Press Association (CHSPA).
The Review’s co-editor in chief, Lauren Arnold, received 1st place for the In-Depth News Coverage category.
Reporter Quaid Vincent had taken 2nd place in the Breaking sports coverage category.
“I feel honored,” said Vincent. “My hard work has paid off.”
Sports editor Javon Harris pulled in four awards. Harris had received an honorable mention for Sports Feature, alongside Vincent he had placed 2nd for his Breaking Sports Coverage work, and finally took 1st place for Sports Action Photo and Caption.
“It feels good that the hard work was noticed,” said Harris.“Hopefully, it sets the tone for future years.”
This is the first year that the Review has had an online website, so it is an honor to already be gaining recognition throughout the state for the work produced.
“I am very proud of the work the staff has done this year,” said newspaper advisor Zeb Carabello. “It feels good to be recognized.”
Congratulations to the Raider Review and its staff for all its hard work and on its victories.
