For seven years, starting in 2017, Rangeview High School’s Journalism teacher Mr. Sobolewski (Sobes) has been hosting Thanksgiving Madness: an ultimate bracket of the best Thanksgiving side dishes.
Mashed Potatoes have won two years, in 2017 and 2019. Tamales have topped the charts only once, winning the title of Best Thanksgiving Side in 2021. But this year, Baked Mac & Cheese has won for the fourth time, previously winning in 2018, 2020, and 2022.
The Bracket consists of 3 rounds, the final round having voters rank their top two. In this final round it was a clear victory for Baked Mac & Cheese who came out with 51% of the votes, and Mashed Potatoes trailing behind with about 25%.
