On November 28th, 2023, Rangeview legend Bobby Bryant passed away at the age of sixty-three due to surgery complications. Bobby was a respected part of the community here at Rangeview High School, having been our custodian all 40 years this school has been open.
Bobby was well known for making jokes to people he was comfortable with, and for his collections, which he’d lovingly taken care of, as proven by the long array of memorabilia at the front of the school.
Although no longer with us, Bobby will remain a significant part of the community and will forever be in the hearts and minds of those who had the privilege of knowing him. Many staff members at Rangeview cherished Bobby’s presence and recalled their memories with him.
Former teacher Randy Mills recounted Bobby’s love of memorabilia and their friendship, “I am a lifelong Giants fan. Bobby Bryant was at one of his famous hunts for memorabilia and got this [a Rolling Stones magazine with the Eagles on the cover] for me and as usual, he wouldn’t take anything for it. It holds a place of honor in my office. We shared a love of the Eagles and would talk for hours and I hope he is sitting with Randy Meisner and Glenn Frey in heaven.”
Bobby loved doing things for others, and never expected something in return, truly demonstrating the kindness of his soul.
“Bobby would do anything for you and found happiness in doing for others. He was great at picking out fake people and had no time for them. If he was your friend it was because you were genuine and it was an honor. I will miss him and our talks about history and the Eagles. I will always treasure his friendship,” Mills further reminisced.
“When I was a student at Rangeview I thought Bobby just disliked all the students because we were “assholes” for leaving trash everywhere. When I started working at Rangeview four years ago Bobby and I became very close, talking everyday. Nobody could cheer me up the way Bobby did. Bobby told me he didn’t hug people and he didn’t take pictures anymore but I got these two amazing pictures at the 40th year anniversary celebration at Legends. Bobby will be missed by all,” said support staff member Elyse Bradney.
Bobby was always ensuring others remembered how Rangeview came to be and kept us mindful about how it’ll continue on. He was the staple for school spirit even if it was from afar.
“He was the one that made sure that we never forgot how Rangeview was founded, the people who’ve made an important mark on Rangeview, and just the general spirit of Rangeview, and I’m glad that Bobby’s spirit will always live on in the halls of Rangeview” said Assistant Principal Tammy Strouse.
Bobby was a real respected collector in that community, putting on shows displaying everything from his vast collection of Frankenstein memorabilia to his favorite band the Eagles, or his favorite team the Denver Broncos.
Bobby has been a part of Rangeview ever since the school opened, and he will continue to be a valued member of the Raider family. His impact on the school environment will never be forgotten. Not only did his kindness and humor lift up those around him, but his collections remain a staple feature in the building, showcasing the history of the school. Though he may not be with us anymore, Bobby Bryant’s influence on Rangeview High School will carry on.
RIP Bobby Bryant (1960-2023).

He was also a vast collector of Pittsburgh Steeler Jack Lambert. He would have me buy on Ebay for him whatever I could find that he didn’t have…at the time. He would go to the National show and find more. Jack Lambert along with Frankie were his go-to’s. He also enjoyed a red beer here and there. Bobby you will be missed my friend.
