Many coaches want to be the best, although there are two goats that should come to mind, Bill Belichick and Nick Saban, who are what we call legends in football. These two coaches did everything when it came to winning and being the best role models they could be. Just seeing their stats would make coaches wish to be as successful as them, however with the stats they put up it will be hard to beat.
Belichick began his coaching career in 1975 as an assistant coach for the Baltimore Colts. He then went on to serve as an assistant coach for several other teams, including the Detroit Lions, Denver Broncos, and New York Giants. During his time with the Giants, Belichick developed a reputation as one of the league’s best defensive coordinators, and he played a key role in helping the team win two Super Bowl championships.
On the other hand, Nick Saban was an amazing college coach, and a NFL coach as well. Saban began his coaching career in 1973 as a graduate assistant at Kent State University. He then went on to serve as an assistant coach at several different universities, before landing his first head coaching job at Toledo in 1990. After a successful stint at Toledo, Saban moved on to become the head coach at Michigan State in 1995. He turned the Spartans into a formidable team, leading them to a 9-2 record in 1999 and a victory in the Citrus Bowl.
Although these two coaches are old, they will both go down in history and won’t be forgotten for their impact on collegiate and professional football. Once both coaches were let go of their jobs, many people knew that they were letting go of two G.O.A.T.S Now in their respective teams, they replace Saban and Belichick with two younger coaches who will do a good job and will happily replace them. As Saban and Belichick move on, they will forever be remembered as two legendary people and two amazing coaches.
