Our school is coming together in a wonderful way this Thanksgiving season with the help of various clubs that have united to create Thanksgiving baskets for families in need. Several clubs are actively participating in this effort, including the Interact Club, the National Honor Society, Student Leadership, Black Student Alliance, Asian Alliance Club, Voices of Diversity and Justice, Link Crew, and UNICEF. Each group is working tirelessly to collect and organize donations.
“It’s amazing to see everyone come together for such a great cause,” says Rangeview junior Ramon Lopez Arteaga, “We want to ensure that every family in our community can enjoy a Thanksgiving meal.” The event has not only provided essential resources for families in need but also fostered a strong sense of unity and purpose among the students. It’s heartwarming to know that our efforts are making a tangible difference in people’s lives.
Last Wednesday, students were busy packing boxes with non-perishable food items like canned vegetables, stuffing mix, and cranberry sauce. “I feel grateful to be a part of this,” shares Mekides Gessese, an active member of Interact Club. “It’s a small way to make a big difference in someone’s life.”
As Thanksgiving approaches, the Rangeview students continue working diligently to ensure every basket is filled and ready for distribution. The collective effort and dedication of the students and staff embody the true spirit of Thanksgiving, showing the importance of giving back and supporting one another.
A very special thank you to Student Leadership for allowing this amazing event to take place and thank you Rangeview for your generosity. Happy Thanksgiving!
