Disney fans from all around the world are thrilled to hear that Disney will be releasing new movies in the upcoming year. The future for Disney Pixar includes old movies picking up where it left off and new movies with new plots and characters. If your inner child is screaming for new eye candy, no worries because Disney has a lot in store for us.
The Good Dinosaur will be coming to the theaters on November 25. This movie is a breath of fresh air with a Dinosaur being unlikely friend with a human boy. On December 18, the force comes back with Stars Wars: The Force Awakens.
Starting off the new year, Disney will release The Finest Hours on January 29 in 2016. This movie takes place in 1952 with four Coast Guards trying to save 30 stranded sailors out at sea.
Towards the end of the 2016 Winter season, Zootopia, a movie with a law-enforcing rabbit contending with a deceiving sly fox, will be coming to theaters. Alice: Through the Looking Glass comes to life on May 27, 2016. Based on a book written by Lewis Carroll in 1871, Alice travels back in time to save the Mad Hatter.
The movie we’ve all been waiting for, Finding Dory will come to theaters June 17. The loving but forgetful blue fish we all love will finally reunite with the ones she loves. This sequel to Finding Nemo will start your Summer off right.
On July 1, The BFG (Big Friendly Giant) will be joining the Disney family. This exciting film is about a young London girl and an unusual Giant who introduces her to the fascinating world of Giants.
To end the Summer, Pete’s Dragon will make a reappearance on August 12. This movie is a newer version of the 1977 film. Where an orphan boy seeks safety from his abusive parents with the help of his pet dragon and a couple who lives in a lighthouse.
November 23, Moana will be joining Cinderella and the others as the first ever Pacific Islander Disney Princess. This film will entail a young woman and a demi-god named Maui setting sail for a legendary island.

“I think it’s great idea that Disney is adding diversity with the princesses.” says, Sophomore Katie Long. “It will be a great influence on kids.”
Disney will take a break from releasing any movies until the spring of 2017. Beauty and the Beast will becoming back as a live action film. Emma Watson will be playing the intelligent princess Belle while Dan Stevens will be playing Beast.
“I think if she (Emma Watson) can pull the roll off, it’ll be really good.” says Sophomore Isabelle Medina.
Jack Sparrow is back with Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales. This action packed motion picture will go to the big screens in the summer of 2017.
Woody and his friends will be going on another crazy adventure when Toy Story 4 hits theaters on November 22.
