The Rangeview varsity basketball team has gotten off to a hot start. They are currently 5-0 overall, and they are sitting in first place in the EMAC conference. The basketball team doesn’t plan on stopping this win streak especially when facing their next opponent, Smoky Hill High School tonight.

The Rangeview Raiders have at least one player in the top five leaders for steals, blocks, points per game, assists, and rebounds. According to maxpreps.com, the Raiders are projected to win against the Smoky Hill 77 to 60.

The success for the Raiders has been astonishing so far beating three opponents by 20 or more points, and every opponent by double digits. There isn’t a cap on the Raiders’ confidence, and they plan to go into tonight’s game with high hopes.

Just to add to Raiders’ accomplishments this season, they are currently ranked third in the state of Colorado (CHSAA). This makes some of the fans very confident such as Jordan Onyenwere remarking that the Raider team is, “State Bound.”

Whether the streak will be short-lived or not, the Rangeview students still believe that they are a pleasure to watch.

Senior Luis Hernandez states,“It’s fun to watch a group of students come together and represent their school. It is also great to see all of their hard work pay off.”

The Raiders attempt to continue their run today, in the Rangeview High School large gym at 7 pm against Smoky Hill.
