Ten games into the spring season, the boys lacrosse team is winless, however, they have played one of the toughest schedules in the state of Colorado. Some of the games they have played include third ranked Regis Jesuit, eighth-ranked Colorado Academy, and a 7-3 Englewood team.
“It’s been fun but rough,” said Junior Dominick Knight.
The Raiders have received no luck this season either as one of their leading attacks, Marshall Proxmire was injured in a skateboarding accident and has missed the last four games. During his absence Junior Jessie Tizon has stepped up and scored the Raiders only two goals against Eaglecrest.

Their rocky start has no end in sight either. Coming off of a crushing 19-2 loss against Eaglecrest, the Raiders will now be faced with taking on the 6-4 Heritage Eagles, followed by the fifth-ranked Palmer High School.
The last two weeks of the season will be as hard as the first few, as they will be faced with the daunting task of taking on sixth-ranked Palmer High School and the 6-4 Heritage Eagles.
Despite the rough season the Raiders are keeping their heads up and according to Sophomore Jordie Yomon are looking forward to, “Beating Gateway and Senior night.”
The boys fortune also may be taking a turn for the best as they come down the stretch, as Proxmire will soon be cleared to return to practices and games.
Their senior night will be 5/2 against the 9-1 Palmer Terrors, and two days later the Raiders will play their final game of the season against one of the other winless teams in Colorado. That team just happens to be school rival, Gateway High School. Gateway is currently 0-10 and the Raiders will look to keep it that way.
Tonight the Raiders take on the Heritage Eagles at 7:00 at APS Stadium.
