Rangeview High School clubs are kicking off this year, and that means, say hello to the Art Club and all the magic that is going to take place.
The Art Club is being run by art teachers, Ms. Manciu and Mrs. Ryan. Rangeview students, old and new alike, are all wondering what the club will be like this year.
When asked her opinion on what the new school year will bring for the Art Club, Ryan said that they’re going to make the club more “school wide” so that more students know that they’re a club. Not only that, but the Art Club is going to host several activities this year such as a movie night, bringing a friend to draw, and a gallery night.
Gallery night is one of the biggest events that Art Club looks forward to every year and this year it will be taking place in May. Ryan gave some insight on what will be happening during the gallery.

“We are partnering with the dance recital and breaking out so it’s not just visual arts,” explained Ryan, “and we’re trying to see if Starbucks will donate some coffee as well.”
Supplies, such as paper and paint, are provided by the school and other supplies, including woodwork and paper mache, are provided by the teachers. This makes the art club free for all students who would like to join.
The Art Club first started around 2010 and continues to be a successful club to this day.
“I am hoping to build a better community, to build a better art world.” Manciu said. “I hope that we promote art to this school and it shows them the things we do in the Art Department.”
Official Art Club meetings will be taking place every Tuesday from 3:30 to 4:30 in room 247.
