Once again, the Rangeview soccer team is preparing to play against Arapahoe High School. This time, the teams are going head to head for the CHSAA State Championship playoffs.
The game last Thursday against Greeley West marked the beginning of the CHSAA State Championship playoffs for Rangeview. The team came out with a 5-1 win, securing their spot in round two.
Senior captain Joey Hussey said, “I know the team is ready and hungry for the win. We played [Arapahoe] the first game of the season and since then, we have become a better team all together.”
The first game of the 2016 season was against Arapahoe, and the team took their first loss of the season, 2-0. Now, the boys have made it to the second round of playoffs for the first time in two years and they are determined not to make the same mistake twice.
“There is always room for improvement. It’s the little details that can make a big difference in the game. We are still working on improving the way we play,” said senior Ivan Enriquez.
The game will be at 4:30 today at Littleton High School. Make sure to click the link to see the results of the game and other Rangeview soccer stats:
