The varsity swim team has gone undefeated so far this season. They got third place out of seven teams in the Oly Invitational. The swim team is almost through the season, and is hoping to continue with their winning streak.
In their most recent meet, against Northglenn, the varsity team won, 110-75.
Against the three time EMAC Champions, Brighton, the lady Raiders pulled off a hard fought victory, 94-92.
According to head coach Gerard, Brighton has always been their biggest competitor in the EMAC league. After the swim team won against their hardest league meet of the season, they were hoping to continue their winning streak this season and won the title of APS Champions.
After their undefeated season, the team attended the APS Championships on Friday, January 27th. This

makes a 14 year winning streak of the APS Championships.
According to Coach Gerard, “The determination is very high in both and we are looking forward to some great swims finishing out this season,” said coach Gerard.
The teamwork throughout the season helped the team get their undefeated title.
“(The team) motivated me to go faster,” said freshman swimmer Jasmine Johnson.
After the APS Championships, two of the members of the swim and dive team, home schooled sophomore, Sarah Mortenson (for diving) and Jasmine Johnson (for swim) qualified for state. Sarah Mortenson made it to state last year too, but this year she is hoping to place. Jasmine qualified in the 100 breaststroke.
