Sliding into summer

Are you afraid you have no plans for the summer or not sure what to do or where to go? Here are eight fun activities to do when you have no plans on a hot Summer day.

Going to Elitches Garden theme park

“Other than working I’m going to probably go to Elitches with my girlfriend,” says Junior Johnathan Hernandez.

Elitch Gardens has been around since 1994 and has been ranked #1 in Denver Colorado as one of the best places to go so far. This is the most popular attraction to visit during the summer.

Going to a Concerts

Summer 2017 has many concert opportunities if you are looking for a fun, musical night with a great group of friends.Concerts to come include Ed Sheeran, J. Cole, Bruno Mars, Chainsmokers, and many more artists to choose from. To learn more about upcoming concerts click here.

Going to the mountains

This is a fun way to experience more with your family and friends. It’s also a place to get to know Colorado better. In the mountains you can do things like hiking, biking, or even just cruising around.

Going Swimming

Isaiah Cheeks a junior  says, “I will be working and going to club practice” (Altitude)

Going for a quick swim or even making a day out of it can be a fun way to beat the heat. One can go to utah pool, beck indoor pools, etc. To find more Click Here .

Going Camping

Hot dogs on the grill, s’mores over the fire, ready or not summer is calling. Camping can be a great way to make memories this summer.

However, Junior Anna-Stacia Smith says that she plans to enjoy her summer by relaxing.  “I’m going to be sleeping and working,” says Smith.

Getting a Job

Well it’s that time again and with seniors leaving there are bound to be a lot of openings for one to get a job. Junior Marshal harshbarger says “ I will be working at dairy queen and hanging out with my friends this summer”

Just like Cheeks, freshman Payton Gable will also being working as a babysitter and apart from that she will apply to the Denver School of the Arts high school.

Going to Carnivals

Carnivals are coming to town, so that means it’s cotton candy and live music time. Here are just a few of the Carnivals that are occurring during the summer.
