The Rangeview Raider Cheer Squad was magical yesterday at the CHSAA State Spirit Gameday Competition, finishing fourth in the finals, earning their highest finish in school history.

The Raiders did phenomenal work this year in preceding tournaments, but ultimately they weren’t expected to challenge for the state title. Instead after sitting in 7th before their final performance, Rangeview showcased their hard work despite a smaller squad in yesterday’s top four finish. By beating heavyweights like Smoky Hill, Broomfield, and Regis, the Raiders make a monstrous statement on the state level.

“I think we worked so hard, we really deserved it with all the early morning practices, running and money each of us put in for this very moment,”  said junior Janyissa Bannister .

Valor finished first in the finals, with Arapahoe High School and Cherry Creek in second and third place. The Cheers received a 96.4, Rangeviews highest score in cheerleading history.
