Rangeview’s 2014 tennis team is excited for the start of a new season. According to the new head coach Zeb Carabello, although the team is fairly young, it is ready to work hard for the development that is needed to become a great team. Even though the team lost almost half of the varsity players to graduation, they still are very optimistic and confident that they will accomplish some set goals that are needed to put the team on the map.
“It would be great to win league and even qualify for state.” said Carabello.
New team captain Josh Urban is ecstatic about starting his last season at Rangeview, but is a little sad and wants it to last. He would love to leave knowing that during his last year as a raider he qualified for state.
“It feels good to be the captain, and I’m really looking forward to positively influencing the young players,” said Urban.
With great leaders and great coaches, the tennis team is looking forward to a great season. Their first match will take place August 28 at Overland High School.
