Cross Country
During the league meet last week the boys cross country team took first overall for the second year in a row with junior Luke Sundberg taking first place, junior Ryan Slocum taking fourth, junior Aser Albachew taking seventh, junior Alex Woldetatyos placing 11th and senior Nick Provancal taking 12th.
As for the varsity girls, they placed 6th out of 11 with freshman Chloe Wetzel placing 12th and sophomore Caroline Smith in 19th.
“I can’t explain how great it feels to help our team get this win, and to lock it down two years in a row is great,” said junior Luke Sundberg.
Saturday October 27th, junior Luke Sundberg and senior Michael Wolde will run in the state meet at 11:00am at Norris-Penrose Event Center in Colorado Springs.
Football
The 1-8 varsity football team took on Westminster on Friday, October 19th the Raiders lost that game with a final score of 48-7. This loss extended the boys losing streak to four. Their next game is Saturday, October 27th at 1:00pm.
Soccer
Almost going undefeated this year winning 9 out of 10 of their league games, on Tuesday, October 16, the raiders had their last league game at Prairie View against Prairie View where they won 2-1 in overtime.
They are now moving on to their first playoff game against Mountain Range this Thursday, October 25.
