The CHSAA basketball season has come to a close, and unlike the fall sports, Rangeview has two teams in the playoffs. Both the Girls and Boys Raiders Basketball squads look to extend their seasons for as long as possible. 

The Lady Raiders held a strong season, posting a 17-5 record, which landed them the 15th seed and a first round bye. After a disappointing finish to the season in a 61-72 loss to division rival Vista PEAK, the girls hope to bounce back in a big way. After a bye for the first round, they will play number 18 ranked Denver East in a high powered second round matchup. Rangeview won both of their first two games against the Angels in December, with scores of 41-39 and 56-49. Led by the likes of seniors Ny’Era West and Genesis Sweetwine, the Rangview Girl’s team will need to be on their A game to best Denver East.

On the boys side of things, the Raiders ended the season on a whopping 13 game win streak, making them the number 13 ranked team in the state. During this streak, notable wins include games against Number 3 Chaparral, Number 15 Ralston Valley, Number 25 Overland, and Number 37 Prairie View. This season, Seniors KK Stroter and Elijah Thomas led the way, each averaging over 14 points and 5 rebounds per game: the only players on the squad to do so. The guys will take on Number 20 Cherry Creek following their first round bye.
