The Rangeview girls’ basketball team has reached the midpoint of the season, putting together a 5-5 record. After a few nail-biting heartbreakers, the Raiders were able to put together big wins in December over Bear Creek, Skyview, and Denver North.
The Lady Raiders played in a tournament in Arizona over the holidays, where they won games over Liberty and Sunnyslope, but dropped two close games to Pinnacle and Chandler. More recently, Rangeview has struggled a bit, losing their last 3 in a row, which included a loss on Tuesday to Northfield. However, they have shown flashes of great play. When they can click on both offense and defense, they have been able to win convincingly. The team is still finding their rhythm and figuring out how to play consistently, which is key for the back half of the season.
With nine regular-season games left in the season, Rangeview has plenty of opportunities left to improve their standing and record. The second half of the season includes multiple rival matchups that will be crucial for playoff seeding.
The players, as well as the coaches, are determined to turn it around, starting with a road trip on Thursday to Denver South. With half of the season left, there is still plenty of time for the Raiders to find a rhythm and make a strong playoff push.
