The Rangeview Raider golf team has been said to be in full effect this season. The season was started off with the “First Major Buffalo Run” on August 15, 2018 and ended with the last league meet at Murphy Creek on September 13. The golf team started the season off in second place in the EMAC South division according to head coach, Merlin Johnson.
Going into the season, senior Tristan Sommers said, “I believe that this season will be a repeat of the success we had last year.”
The golf team has had a great season this year, similarly to last year. It’s been said that the boys have had significant growth this season. The team is said to have great potential going forward.
This season presented some new faces on the team, Coach Johnson said, “My underclassmen golfers, I’m pretty excited about this year.”
The Rangeview’s boys golf team is growing.
Sophomore, Dallon DeLoach mention that he has, “been practicing during the summer.” He also stated that he’s “hopeful for the season.”

There were a total of five matches for the 2018 season. The Raider golf team ended up placing 3rd out of 10 teams according to Randy Mills, a STEM teacher at RHS. According to a post made by Randy Mills, seniors Levi Robinson and Tristan Sommers made 2nd team all-league this year.
Players such as Dallon Deloach said, “I have a goal to play in some more tournaments during the offseason.”
Many say the season ended on a strong note, and the team is said to be looking forward to what’s to come.
