Volleyball:
With an overall record of 6-2, the ladies came in first in The Spartan Challenge at Thomas Jefferson High school Saturday, September 8. They lost against Thomas Jefferson, and won against Evergreen and Middle Park High School. The ladies then swept George Washington high school with a score of 3-0 on Wednesday, September 12.
Cross Country:
The Rangeview cross country team has ran a total of four meets total this year. Starting off the team ran the Liberty Bell invitational on Saturday September 9th; most of the Raiders achieved personal record times for the season. Tuesday September 11th, the Raiders took on one of the hardest courses in Colorado according to junior Luke Sundberg. Sundberg took first with a time of 17:40; senior Michael Wolde came in third with a time of 18:00; senior Ryan Slocum came in fifth with a time of 18:36. The boys came in first as a team. The Raiders then took on the course at Fort Morgan on Friday, September 14th. At this course, the boys varsity team placed third and the girls varsity team placed 11th.
Football:
The football team played against Mountain Range High School for the long awaited homecoming game. The Raiders fell short and lost with a score of 20-14. The football team has an overall record of 0-4 so far this season.
Soccer:
So far, the Rangeview boys soccer team is undefeated in their league with an overall record of 3-3. Some say the boys soccer team is having a strong season thus far. Their last game and win was against Northglenn high school where they won 13-3.
Golf:
The Rangeview boys golf team took 4th overall within their league. The boys expect to bring their all for regionals this Wednesday, September 19th, because they feel like they haven’t brought their all in prior seasons according to senior Tristan Sommers.
Softball:
The Rangeview softball team currently holds a 9-14-2 overall record. They lost 3-0-1 at a tournament in Loveland on Friday September 7th and Saturday September 8th. The ladies plan “to improve” according to junior Jessica Hankins. Within the tournament, the ladies lost against Adams City High School, Lyons High School, and Thornton High School, and tied with Skyline High School. Coming off the tournament, the ladies then took on Overland High School and won 16-14. The ladies took another loss against Brighton High School on Tuesday, September 11th with a score of 20-4. The ladies then played Thornton on Thursday September 13th, losing with a score of 15-13.
Boys Tennis:
The boys tennis team has an overall record of 1-6 with their first win against Far Northeast on Wednesday, September 5th. Their last game was a loss against Thomas Jefferson High School Monday, September 10th.
