Volleyball:
The volleyball team had two games last week. The ladies successfully won their home game against Overland with the end score of 3-0. The ladies took a loss against Brighton High School: the final score was 3-2. The volleyball team is 8-3 in their season overall, and 2-1 in their league. The ladies then took a win against Fairview high school yesterday, September 24th and won 3-0. There is a home volleyball game today, September 25th, at 6:30 pm against Hinkley High School.
Cross Country:
The cross country team had races last Tuesday, September 18, and Friday, September 21. On Tuesday, the Raiders ran on the Willis Case Golf Course with the boys placing 5th overall. Senior Tesamichael Wolde placed 5th for the boys with a time of 17:39 and Junior Ryan Slocum placed 16th for the boys with a time of 18:37. On Friday, they ran on the Clement XC Course with the boys placing 10th overall and the girls placing 22nd overall. Junior Luke Sundberg placed 5th for the boys with a time of 16:21; senior Tesamichael Wolde placed 26th for the boys with a time of 17:04; freshman Chloe Wetzel placed 124th for the girls with a time of 23:02. The next race will be this Friday at Thornton Recreation Center and it will be the Raiders 7th meet of the season.
Football:
Some might say that the football team had a lot to be proud of after winning their first game of the season. They played against Adams City last Thursday, September 20th, winning 35-14. The Raiders are currently 1-4 in the season overall. Their next game is Friday, September 28th, at the Thunderhawk stadium against Prairie View at 7pm.
Soccer:
Our boys’ soccer team had a great week playing on Tuesday, September 18, against Thornton and on Thursday, September 20, against Brighton. The boys won 11-1 against Thornton and 5-2 against Brighton. Rangeview is currently 6-3 overall in the season and 4-0 in their conference: Rangeview plays Hinkley today, September 25th, at 6:30 at home with hopes of winning their 5th game in a row.
Golf:
The golf season ended Wednesday, September 19th, 2018.
Softball:
The girls softball team had game last Tuesday, September 18, and Thursday, September 20. On Tuesday, the lady Raiders won their game against Aurora Central with the ending score of 32-3. The team is currently 5-9-1 overall, and 2-3 in their league. The lady Raider have a home game today, September 25th, at 4:00 pm against Vista Peak.
Tennis:
The boys tennis team took a loss in their match against Riverdale Ridge on Tuesday, September 17th: the final score was 6-1. The team ended their home game against Northglenn High School with a winning score of 7-0 on Thursday, September 20th. They are currently 2-8 overall and 1-1 in their league.The Raiders have a home game against Denver East high school Thursday, September 27th, at 4:00pm.
