Volleyball:
There were two games this week for the Raiders, one at Thornton on Tuesday, October 2nd where the ladies won 3-0, and a home game against Valor Christian on Thursday, October 4th where they lost 3-0. The varsity volleyball team currently holds an 11-4 overall record and a 5-1 league record. There are four more games left in the season with two coming up next week. The first is Tuesday, October 9th vs. Central at Rangeview and the second is on Thursday, October 11th vs. Gateway at Rangeview.
Cross country:
The Rangeview cross country team raced Friday, September 28th and Friday, October 5th. September 28th’s race took place at the Thornton Cross Country Invitational. The boys team placed 4th overall. Junior Luke Sundberg finished in 2nd place with a time of 15:51 and senior Tesamichael Wolde finished in 10th place with a time of 16:24. For the girls team, they placed 32nd place. Freshman Chloe Wetzel finished in 151th place with a time of 22:17 and Mahayla Griggs finished in 258th place with a time of 25:16. October 5th’s race took place at the Pat Amato Classic and the Rangeview boys finished in 6th place. Sundberg secured 1st place with a time of 15:52, and junior Ryan Slocan finished in 19th place with a time of 16:49. The girls placed 31st. Wetzel finished in 127th place with a time of 22:02 and junior Sofia Alvarez finished 195th place with a time of 24:56.
Football:
The Raiders took their 6th loss of the season on Friday, October 5th against Northglenn. With a couple of games remaining, their next game is Thursday, October 11th against Boulder at APSS at 6:30 pm.
Soccer:
The varsity soccer team is continuing to perform. They won both of their games, winning 3-2 against Adams City and 7-0 against Vista Peak. With three games remaining in the season, the boys varsity soccer team is showing no signs of slowing down as they slowly begin to make their way into playoffs.
Softball:
The softball team has finished their regular season with a record of 6-14-1. Unfortunately, they finished with a loss against overland on Friday, October 5th.
Tennis:
The Rangeview tennis team finished their season with a 2-9 record. Their final match was against Denver East where they lost 7-0, ending their season.
